Snímek, jehož režisérem, scénáristou, hlavní hereckou hvězdou a dokonce
i autorem hudby je sir Anthony Hopkins. Film vypráví příběh scénaristy,
pracujícího na snímku jménem Slipstream (sic!), jemuž se náhle začne
dějová linka právě psaného díla podezřele proplétat s osobním životem:
filmové postavy se objevují v reálných situacích a hlavní hrdina (a
společně s ním i divák) si nemůže být jistý vůbec ničím. Ve vedlejších
rolích filmu, který lze přirovnat k režisérskému stylu Davida Lynche,
jsou ze známějších herců k vidění například Christian Slater nebo John
Torturro.
